Mark is a cum laude graduate of the Michigan State University school of music. He holds a BA in Music Education and has logged countless hours teaching private lessons, as well as classroom band instruction at both Junior and Senior High School levels. "Most of which," he jokes, "was spent repairing and adjusting instruments." For nearly a decade he served as district manager in Texas for the world's largest handbell manufacturer, and as such, he serviced hundreds of sets of handbells of all brands. In 1996, recognizing the ever increasing demand for complete, competent, professional handbell servicing, Mr. Bond became the only independent, full time handbell service technician in the U.S. servicing both American and European-made English handbells.
